Weld County, the large agricultural and energy county northeast of Denver, is the entire 19th Judicial District, so its district and county courts share one Clerk of Court. What makes Weld unusual is that the court is spread across three buildings within a few blocks of each other in downtown Greeley. The historic Weld County Courthouse at 901 9th Avenue holds courtrooms, but the Judicial Branch states that all court business, including the clerk's windows, is handled at the Weld County Centennial Center at 915 10th Street. Transcript requests are handled at Plaza West, 910 10th Avenue.

Weld County is also home to one of Colorado's water courts (Water Division 1, covering the South Platte basin), whose records are kept by the same clerk's office with a dedicated phone line. Water-right cases are a distinct case class and do not appear in ordinary civil or criminal searches.

There is no Weld County-only case search. Use the Judicial Branch's free statewide docket search filtered to Weld County for hearings and basic data, or the paid CoCourts service for a register of actions. Greeley Municipal Court, a city court, keeps its own docket and is not in either state tool.

Which clerk has your record

In Colorado, the clerk who keeps a file depends on which court heard the case. Check the court name on the case notice, citation, or order, then use the office and coverage details above to identify the record holder. Court names and responsibilities differ by state; a county clerk may not keep court case files. For federal cases, see the PACER guide. The full court structure is on the Colorado page.
