Affiliate Disclosure

MyCourtFiles is free to read. It is paid for in two ways.

Display advertising

Third-party ad networks place ads in clearly marked spaces on our pages. Advertisers do not see our content before it is published and have no say in it.

Some pages include a labeled card linking to a commercial background-check or people-search service. If you sign up through that link, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you.

Three rules apply to every affiliate link:

  1. It is always disclosed. A notice appears at the top of any page that contains one, and the card itself is marked "Sponsored".
  2. It never replaces the official source. The free, official court portal is always listed first and more prominently.
  3. It never changes our recommendations. Which portals we list, and what we say about them, is decided by our editorial policy before any monetization is added.

Commercial services compile public records from many sources. Their results are not official court records, can be incomplete or out of date, and must not be used for decisions covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (employment, housing, credit, insurance) unless the provider is a consumer reporting agency and you follow that law.
