Mohave County stretches along the Colorado River in Arizona's northwest corner, and its Superior Court operates from three locations: the main courthouse in Kingman and branch courts in Bullhead City and Lake Havasu City. The Clerk of the Superior Court of Mohave County is the record keeper for all of them, holding criminal, civil, domestic relations (including divorce decrees), probate, and juvenile files along with marriage abstracts. The county's courts share a single website, the Judicial Branch of Arizona in Mohave County, which is where the clerk publishes its records-request instructions and forms.

Mohave County does not run its own case-search database. The clerk's site points the public to the Arizona Judicial Branch's free statewide Public Access to Court Case Information portal for case histories, and to the statewide eAccess service for document images. Copies and certified copies still come from the clerk's research unit, which accepts requests in person at any of the three courthouses, by mail, by fax, or by email.

Misdemeanors, evictions, small claims, and county traffic citations are handled by one of Mohave County's four justice courts — Bullhead City, Kingman/Cerbat, Lake Havasu, and North Canyon (Colorado City) — each of which keeps its own records and takes its own records requests. Tickets written by city police in Kingman, Bullhead City, or Lake Havasu City go to that city's municipal court.

What is available online

There is no Mohave County-specific case search. The clerk directs the public to the Arizona Judicial Branch's Public Access to Court Case Information portal for free case histories and to the statewide eAccess service for scanned documents where they are available. The complete file is always kept at the clerk's office, and some documents that cannot be posted online can still be inspected there. Certified copies are not available online and must be ordered from the Research Clerk. The county site also hosts a separate active-warrant search maintained by the court.

Which clerk has your record

In Arizona, the clerk who keeps a file depends on which court heard the case. Check the court name on the case notice, citation, or order, then use the office and coverage details above to identify the record holder. Court names and responsibilities differ by state; a county clerk may not keep court case files. For federal cases, see the PACER guide. The full court structure is on the Arizona page.

Fees

ItemTypical cost in Arizona
Plain copy$0.50 per page
Certified copy$30.00 statutory certification fee per document, plus $0.50 per page; most county clerks post $35.00

A.R.S. § 12-284 sets the Superior Court clerk's base fees at $0.50 per page for copies (Class F) and $30.00 for a certificate of correctness or document certification (Class E), and states that copy fees are separate from certification fees. Counties add authorized surcharges, so posted county schedules commonly show $35.00 per certification and an $8.00 postage-and-handling charge (Mohave, Coconino, Yavapai, Apache); Navajo County posts $30.00. Justice courts use a separate limited-jurisdiction schedule (typically $0.50 per page and $33.00 per certification). Confirm the total with the specific clerk before sending payment.

Sealed and restricted records

Arizona court records are presumed open under Arizona Supreme Court Rule 123, which sets the general rule that records of the Judicial Department are available for public inspection unless a specific confidentiality interest outweighs that presumption. Several categories will not appear in a public search:

The Arizona guide lists every category of sealed and restricted record, and our guide to expunging or sealing a criminal record explains how to remove one from public view.
