Iron County is part of Utah's Fifth Judicial District with Washington and Beaver counties. Although Parowan is the county seat, the working courthouse is the Cedar City District Court at 40 North 100 East in Cedar City, where felony criminal, civil, divorce and custody, and probate cases for the county are filed and heard. The Clerk of the Fifth District Court at Cedar City keeps those files. The Fifth District also lists a Parowan District Court mailing address (P.O. Box 608, Parowan, UT 84761), but Cedar City is where the public counter and records staff are.
Lower-level matters go to the Iron County Justice Court, a separate court a block away at 82 North 100 East, Suite 101. It handles traffic citations, infractions, Class B and C misdemeanors, DUI arraignments, and small claims, and it maintains its own case files, payment windows, and lobby kiosks. Cedar City and Parowan also operate city justice courts for citations issued by their own police departments, so a traffic ticket can land in one of three different courts depending on who wrote it.
There is no free public name search for Iron County district-court cases. Case summaries are on Xchange, the state's paid subscription portal; parties can use the free MyCase service for their own case; and everything else goes through the clerk's counter or a written request to the Cedar City courthouse.

What is available online
District-court case summaries for Iron County are searchable through Xchange, the state's paid subscription tool, for public documents filed since the court adopted the state's electronic case system; older Parowan-era files may exist only on paper. Sealed, expunged, and juvenile cases are excluded. The Iron County Justice Court lets you look up and pay a citation online by case or citation number, and notes that a new ticket can take up to five days to appear, but that is a payment lookup, not a public records search. District-court counter hours were not posted on the pages we reviewed; call before visiting.
Which clerk has your record
In Utah, the clerk who keeps a file depends on which court heard the case. Check the court name on the case notice, citation, or order, then use the office and coverage details above to identify the record holder. Court names and responsibilities differ by state; a county clerk may not keep court case files. For federal cases, see the PACER guide. The full court structure is on the Utah page.
| Court | Typical cases | Records kept by |

Sealed and restricted records
Utah court records are presumed open under the Utah Rules of Judicial Administration, but several categories will not appear in Xchange, MyCase, or the appellate docket search:
