Kent County, like the rest of Rhode Island, has no county government. All of its trial courts sit at one building, the Noel Judicial Complex in Warwick, but each court there keeps its own separate docket and clerk's office: the Superior Court clerk handles felonies and larger civil suits, the District Court, 3rd Division clerk handles misdemeanors, arraignments, and smaller civil and small-claims cases, and the Family Court, Kent County Division clerk handles divorce, custody, and juvenile matters.
There is no Kent County probate office. Warwick, Cranston (part of which is in Providence County), West Warwick, Coventry, East Greenwich, and the county's other cities and towns each run their own probate court through the town or city clerk.
Case status for any of these courts is searchable through the statewide Rhode Island Judiciary Public Portal; there is no Kent-County-specific search tool.

What is available online
The Rhode Island Judiciary Public Portal shows docket entries, parties, and hearing information for non-confidential Superior, District, and Family Court cases filed at the Noel Judicial Complex, along with every other court sitting statewide. It does not include most document images and does not include probate records, which are kept separately by each city and town.
Which clerk has your record
In Rhode Island, the clerk who keeps a file depends on which court heard the case. Check the court name on the case notice, citation, or order, then use the office and coverage details above to identify the record holder. Court names and responsibilities differ by state; a county clerk may not keep court case files. For federal cases, see the PACER guide. The full court structure is on the Rhode Island page.
